The boys of 33Hz are back from the beach, and this time, they are ready for sin.

At least that’s the story behind 33Hz’s new single, “Nightspot”, a tale of bacchanalian longing set in the midst of a short visit to a friend outside of New York. But sometimes lounging just ain’t enough, and it’s time to find that after-hours club on the shady east-side of town packed with people far too strange to come out in the daylight.

Produced by Ming (of Ming & FS), “Nightspot” is a straight up electro-disco number that places 33hZ squarely back on the dance floor at Odyssey 2001…or more like Odyssey 2011. Mixing classic NYC “classy” disco with a touch of French house and a pinch of R&B, “Nightspot” is a perfect soundtrack to a pre-party, or the evening’s eventual peak, or the woozy 4am after-party.

The 12” release features a stripped down disco dub remix from disco dancefloor darlings Beg To Differ (Nick Chacona & Roy Dank of Wurst Music). The b-side is an Electro-fied rework of the 33Hz song “Stephanie All Night” by Ulysses (Throne Of Blood, Wurst).

The Extended Digital EP features remixes from Ming (Hood Famous). Eli Escobar (Tiki Disco/Plant/Dither Down), Walker & Royce (Nurvous), Galactic Classics (Dither Down) and blog darlings The Soundmen.

Side A: Prins Thomas, the man who never leaves the studio, comes up with another of his epic Nordic cosmic reworks of ‘Under the Sun, creating a tension-building tripped-out chugger with bongos au go go and a double acid lines a-gurgling. Summer Anthem Alert!

Side B: Eli Escobar remixes ‘Night Spot’, a heart pounding dancefloor house with Chicago written all over it. Which leaves Trap.Avoid to provide us with a beachy minimal disco remix of “Under The Sun.” Yum.
